Highly Expensive Cars in the World, Mazda

In 2007, Mazda Sports Car produced almost 1.3 million vehicles for global sales, the majority of which nearly 1 million were produced in the company's Japanese plants, with the remainder coming from a variety of other plants worldwide. In 2011, Mazda was the fifteenth biggest automaker by production worldwide.

Mazda Sports Car Concept has long been a smaller player in the market, but products like the Mazda 3 compact sedan and hatchback, the MX-5 roadster and the RX-8 sports car are instantly recognizable. Other vehicles, like the CX-7 and CX-9 crossover and the Mazda6 sedan have won critical acclaim but little in the way of sales success, Mazda is the only car compact to stick with the rotary engine, and has used it to position itself as a purveyor of Sports and affordable cars.

Mazda originally started out producing arms for Japan during WWII, but launched their first car, the R360 in 1960. Mazda's rotary engines brought the company fame and success, with the audio car Mazda RX-7 Sports car gaining a substantial following in North America. In 1989, Mazda launched the Miata roadster now known as the MX-5 which has become the best selling sports car of all times. Mazda car dealers the mainstream products have to achieve quite the same success, but a new range of fuel efficient engines and vehicles, branded  SKYACTIV, should help the brand reach their ambitious North American sales targets and match Mazda's notable success in the rest of the world.

Car Mazda RX7 truck is recalling 161,400 midsize cars in the U.S. because the doors can open while they're being driven. The recall affects Mazda 6 cars from the 2009 through the 2013 models. The company says the door latch mounting screws can loosen. That can stop the doors from latching. If the latches come loose, a door ajar light will warn drivers. Mazda traced the problem to improper tightening at the factory or uneven door surfaces. The company will notify owners and dealers will put on a thread-locking adhesive and tighten the screws. The recall will start around Oct.18. Mazda says the problem hasn't caused any crashes or injuries.
