Chilli and Garlic Prawn Kebab

                 Prawn Kebabs are not a very common dish. You have heard of grilled prawns or tandoori prawns. But the concept of prawn kebabs is a novelty. But what is the harm in trying something new, after all you have a festival to cover. Today we will be sharing the recipe for preparing chilli garlic prawn kebabs. The name chilli garlic prawns may seem slightly oriental to you, but this kebab recipe is one hundred percent Indian. We will prepare the chilli garlic prawn kebabs with Indian spices. The recipe is simple enough and the ingredients are very basic only.

                        Prawns can be a little daunting if you haven't cooked them before but to be honest they literally take minutes under the grill and this really simple recioe transforms them into the perfect sweet and spicy party food.


Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Prawns - 20
  • Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
  • Green chillies- 5(minced)
  • Garlic Cloves -6 (minced)
  • Pepper Powder -1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala- 1 tsp
  • Onion- 2 (cubed)
  • Capsicum -1 (diced)
  • Tomatoes- 2 (diced)
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt- as per taste
Procedure:
  1. Marinate the prawns with lemon juice and salt for 10 minutes
  2. Then layer the prawns on all sides with the minced green chillies and garlic.
  3. Sprinkle some garam masala and pepper on the prawns
  4. Leave the prawns aside for another 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile pre-heat the microwave to 200 degrees.
  6. Stick the marinated prawns with capsicum, tomatoes and onions into the stakes.
  7. Drizzle some oil on the stakes and fix them inside the microwave.
  8. Now grill the prawns for 10 minutes on 60 percent power.
