Angry Bird Playground From Rovio into the Classroom

          Rovio Entertainment Ltd is an industry-changing entertainment media company headquartered in Finland and the creator of that company globally successful Angry Birds characters franchise. Angry Birds, a casual puzzle game, became an international phenomenon within a few months of its release. Angry Birds has expanded rapidly into multifaceted entertainment, publishing and licensing to become a beloved international brand. Rovio's animated Angry Birds feature film is slated for July 1, 2016. Rovio Entertainment announced its Angry Birds playground learning concept today, which is a new export title built on the highly respected Finnish educational expertise. The program is based on, but not limited to, the Finish National Curriculum for kindergarten. Rovio has entered into a preliminary agreement with 123 Education Development Ltd in China.
                The concept allows children to experience learning in a fun way. It has been scientifically studied and proven in cooperation with the University of Helsinki, Cicero Learning network making education both engaging and inspiring told Sanna Lukander VP Learning and Book Publishing at Rovio. Young children are inspired in different life skill areas such as language, math and interaction, music, arts and crafts, and both physical and social education. Digital elements will range from games and mobile content through to collaborative activities designed for interactive whiteboards in classrooms The Angry Birds Playground Club enables kids to learn in a creative, multifaceted way, making the best of technology enriched learning environments as well as learning opportunities within and beyond the classroom.
                 Rovio will continue the other side of its book publishing business, working with partners like National Geographic on Angry Birds books that include educational content. The key point about something like Angry Birds playground, though the fact that however serious its educational intent is the programme is also promoting a series of paid games and its hundreds of commercial spin-offs. This is not a licensing thing, and Rovio is not a games company any more. It's a media company, and like many other media companies, it has an educational arm. We're trying to do something meaningful and good with these characters.
                   Rovio is known for collaborating with several Scientific and educational brands and institutions like NASA, CERN, National Geographic Society and the University of Helsinki.
