A cosmic dance is a multimedia dance work, reconnecting, art, spirituality and inner hearing for the environment. We want to offer you an experience. To make everyone feel included, bearing in mind, that some people are more into music, others int visual art. We've got innovative solo dancers and ensembles and traditional Surfi whirling, drumming and organ music, solo singers and a choir, static visuals and animation. The Cosmic dancer lyrics are nice. This year's Cosmos Retreat took place at St. Scholastika's, Dinklage, Germany from 23rd to 25th August. With improved and guided movement to Dominic's Cosmos music in beautiful natural surroundings and the rhythm of Benedictine monastic life, it was a real meeting of German nature spirituality with Christian Cosmology-mind,body, spirit and environment in Harmony.
The Cosmic dancer has been collaborating with Eliot Smith Company (ESC) for nearly 18 months and already the second Cosmos piece, Angels, has been part of ESC's Missa revival at St. Dominic's, Newcastle. Our collaboration is based above all on shared vision. This interview with Eliot on premier Christian Radio is an inspiring testimony to how conscious and free acts of generosity can reap amazing rewards for artists.
The Cosmic Dance means about your inner self as taught by Enlightened Master Lord Shiva in the ancient treatise called Shiva Sutras. It is about knowing your Higher self which is light of awareness and discarding your lower self which is born out of darkness of ignorance. You are the Eternal Self (Atman), Eternal Witness (Sakshi) of the drama of life involving the play of mind and matter. You are the Light of the self (Atma Jyothi) which is alos the Light of Universe (Brahma Jyothi) knowing which you become the light for the world (Jagat Jyothi), light of love, compassion and wisdom.
The incident was even more direct. Adjacent to Sri Kalahasti temple is a small hillock where Bhakta Kannappa, one of the greatest devotees of Lord Siva did penance and offered his eyes to mitigate the suffering of his beloved Lors ( whose eyes bled voluntarily-in order to test devotion of Kannappa.). Enquire into the nature of Yourself. Find out who you are and become free, so said the Enlightened Master Ajja When we met him in his residence in a small village of India. The glow in his face, the joy in his body language and the peace I felt in his presence had a deep impact on me. I was startled by his questions. This led me to a search for the answer journey into my own consciousness. The question became a quest a burning desire to discover myself which led me to many great Spiritual Masters.
